Pets[/u]
Yes, she sometimes calls on a wolf, Ankoku, to help her in battle. Ankoku is a male wolf with a pitch black pelt. That's where his name came from. It literally means 'Darkness'.
Personality[/u]
She is very relaxed and has never really felt what it is like to be serious. She is often seen hanging around guys... flirting... even though she really isn't ready for life commitment. She is just a tom-boy and a flirt, really.
Sometimes, if you talk about your past or family or ask about hers, her other personality may take over. Her other self, also known as Kyasota (kee-ah-SO-tah), is always in a bad mood, blaming others for anything bad or unplanned that happens. She yells very often, and sometimes she may start a fight. Other times, she may just stalk off to sulk.
Physical Description[/u]
Her black hair is waist length and the ends have a faint blue hue to them. Her wolf ears are brown and about 2 and a half inches tall. Her tail is also brown and about a foot long, if extended to full length.
Her dark blue eyes can hold a stare for as long as 10 minutes or so, much longer than the normal youkai... unless that youkai was a wolf demon. Only then can she actually have a staring contest that is a contest.
She wears her father's old armor, the only thing she has left of hum. It is still a bit large on her, the edges go past her sides, but she still wears it.
She also wears her mother's necklace, consisting of small fang shaped beads, but it is NOT a rosette. Her mother once told her it would give her good luck and that she inherited it from her grandmother, making the necklace around 4 generations old.
Kyasuto also wears her brother's old shorts. They are a soft blue fabric that hang loosely on her legs, allowing her to move freely.
History[/u]
(Only her other self actually remembers any of this)
"Mother! Mother? Hey, Mother! Where are you? I wanna show you somethin'! Mo-ther!" Kyasuto ran up to the house, her face shining. She had just caught her first rabbit. Finally, Brother's training is paid off! she though happily.
Kyasuto's house wasn't very big, but it wasn't small either. The woodwork was beginning to peel and the door had fallen off its hinges long before she and her family had moved in. The many trees around the house gave it a rather 'robbed from' or 'haunted' look, but Kyasuto and her family never really took any noticed to it.
Kyasuto finally let herself in and and stopped to sniff the air. There were two hallways, a left and a right. Her mother's scent was stronger from the right.
She took off, running the short distance right, then swerving and making a left. She slowed to a walk as the rabbit swung by its ears in her hand. Kyasuto counted the doors on her left quietly to herself.
"One... two... three..! This is Mother's room." she said, opening the door just a crack. "Mother? Can I come in? I have to show you something..! ...Mother?"
She tilted her head, then let herself in, only to wish she hadn't.
Blood.
All over the room, blood was splattered, covering the walls, the floor, the bed. Everything. Kyasuto wondered why she hadn't picked up the distinct smell outside the door. but she hadn't thought about this more than two seconds when another figure caught her eye.
"Mother!"
Kyasuto ran to the other side of the room and knelt down beside her mother's lifeless body, leaving the rabbit abandoned by the door.
She lay face down and Kyasuto's hands moved to her back.
"Mother..? Mother?! Mother, wake up, Mother!"
She shoved her mother's body, pushing, heaving, shaking with all her might. She hoped... no, she wished that this wasn't a dream.
Finally, she summoned up the courage to flip her over, revealing her cold, stone face. That's when Kyasuto noticed the slit across her neck.
Her hands moved on their own, going closer to the gash, as though pulled by a magnetic force. Kyasuto stopped them, though, not wanting to touch the blood.
Who? Who would've done this to my family? ...Family... what about Brother?! And Father?! Are they alright?[/i] Kyasuto tried to get up, but found herself stopping. Without thinking she snatched her mother's necklace blood-stained necklace and shot out of the room, leaving the rabbit behind.

Kyasuto stared at the two motionless bodies lying at her feet. "No... no..! This can't be happening! It just... it just can't..."
She leaned down and looked carefully at her father's and brother's faces. Yes, indeed, they were dead.
She felt her eyes sting, but she held them back. Somewhere inside her head, her father's words rang out:
Remember, never show weakness, no matter how much it hurts.'
She forced them back, but one escaped and landed on her father's cheek. She stared, her vision still blurred, and found herself pulling off her father's armor. Then she stood and took one last look at her father and brother, before entering her brother's room... only to find there was someone else already in it.
Kyasuto stopped, frozen to the spot, staring right into the eyes of the assassin. He wore dark clothing, all black, and over it a long black cloak.
"Ah, so you're the one." he said, smirking under his hood and pulling out his sword. It still shined with her family's blood. Immediately, she felt the armor drop and her fists clench, her claws digging into her palms.
"Some guy... Naraku or somethin'... sent me to kill you. Said he didn't like you very much. But when I got here, you were gone and I needed somethin' to entertain me." he said coolly, still keeping his smug little grin on his face.
"So you thought it was alright to kill the rest of my family?! People who kill for pleasure make me sick..!" she retorted. She was astonished at how threatening and angry she sounded. Little did she know that this was the start of her split personality.
He smirked again and said, his voice low and dangerous, "Oh, I'm so sorry. But don't worry. You'll be joinin' up with 'em soon enough."
Kyasuto felt white hot anger coursing through her. But... there was another emotion... It felt like anger... but stronger... then another burst of anger escaped by mouth.
"You won't be leaving! Not with your life anyway!"
Her body was beginning to shake now, but it was all from anger. White hot anger, and another pulsing feelings she couldn't place.
"Ha! You honestly think some hanyou like you is gonna kill me?! That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! You ain't even got no weapon!" He burst into a cold and evil laughter, but stopped at Kyasuto's words.
"I've got my fists..." she whispered dangerously, and couldn't wait any longer. Her body moved, lunging for the assassin, fists raised.
"Man, you're even stupider than you look!" He raised his sword and swung it around. Kyasuto felt her body duck then come right back up between him and his sword. in one quick movement, she had him backing away and clutching his face, leaving her to marvel at her blood-stained claws.
She had never fought before so this was all a new experience. She didn't have long to gaze at her hands, though.
"Now you're gonna get it, half-breed!" he shouted, and once more, the anger surged through her. She would get revenge.
Ah-ha! That's what this feeling was.
Vengeance.

Kyasuto stared at the man, lying face down on the black carpet. He almost blended in with the floor, only his clothes were now shining with smudges of red.
Her feeling of vengeance had been relieved once she knew he was dead. She had made sure by stabbing her claws through his stomach, leaving her hand covered from claw to elbow in blood.
During the fight, she noticed she hadn't once gotten tired, but now, after the fight, she felt completely exhausted, her breathing heavy and uneven. The assassin had put up a good fight.
Was that... my demon side? I guess Mother's blood must be my stronger side...
Kyasuto moved over to her brother's drawers, starting back at where she had left off before the fight. She opened the top drawer and pulled out a pair of his old shorts. She pulled her shorts off and replaced them with her brother's. Then she reached down for her pants and pulled out her mother's necklace, then walked over to the door, where her father's armor came onto her body over her white shirt.
She looked at the necklace in her hand and decided she would wash her mother's blood off of it.
She walked out of her brother's bedroom and stepped carefully over the bodies, making her way to the bathroom.

Kyasuto patted the last of the soil onto her father's grave, smiling as she thought over the memories she had with him.
She sighed and stood up, the setting sun casting a long shadow over the four graves.
She bowed her head and said a short prayer for them. May you all find peace in the afterlife, Mother, Father, Brother, and Rabbit.[/i]
Kyasuto smiled and turned away, from both the house and the graves. She looked on in the direction of the nearest forest. She would have to figure out how to survive on her own now.
